Defending the Iron Lady
Meryl Streep says she wanted to capture why people have “that special venom for her” in her performance as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady.
Streep’s performance is hotly tipped for an Oscar nod, which if she gets it, will be her 17th nomination.
The Iron Lady is out in the UK on January 6, 2012. The US wide-release date is January 13, 2012.
